My name is Michael Escalera and I am a Lake Tahoe Wedding Photojournalist.  Of course, I travel to many other places as well and photograph bridal and engagement sessions, seniors, families, commercial and advertising projects, and even landscapes in my spare time!

If you or someone you know is getting married then please e-mail me - I'd love to learn more about your day!  The nicest compliment I could ever receive is your referral.

This is my regular hangout so if you are a blog-stalker you can subscribe by using the handy dandy RSS feature and never miss a post.  If you see something you want to tell your friends about, just hit the "email" button on the bottom of every post!  Oh, and if you are a blog-stalker then please leave me a comment on a story that you like...I'd love to hear from you!

Thanks for stopping in - now grab your latte, browse around, check out the images and what's happening, hug someone you know, and say hi to someone you don't know!

Best Wishes,
Michael

Out of the Office

Hi Everyone,

I am flying out tomorrow morning to photography Brad & Alison's wedding in Virginia!  During this trip my responses to e-mails and phone calls may be a little delayed, but I will answer all communication as soon as I can.

I'll be back in the office on Tuesday, April 1st.  In the mean time...have a great week!

Photographer's Night Out

On Monday night, several of us photographers got together at BWW's in Summit Sierra.  We had a great time of hanging out, eating junk food, and in general, just enjoying a night off!

Here's some images from our fun!

Rory + Autumn

I had the pleasure of photographing Rory and Autumn's engagement session at the Riverwalk on Saturday!

We had great weather and even stopped for a little ice cream!

Congratulations and thanks again for letting me hang out with you!

Same Subject...Different Light

A fun project is to photograph any particular area at different times of day.  You can end up with several different moods for your image and it helps you play with light.

My choice for this one was some reeds by a lake and I chose to vary my composition a little bit.  Not a very exciting subject, but still!

Just for kicks...a Wyoming sunset.  I love how horizons in the west seem to stretch forever.

Cheyenne Frontier Days

In a look at more film, I came across two favorite images from Cheyenne Frontier Days.  It's an event worth going to once in your life...just to say you've done it.
