The J Family - Virginia

While in Virginia for a wedding a couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to photograph the J family.  One of my brides from 2006 referred them to me and I am happy she did!

I photographed them at their beautiful home and enjoyed the time spent with them.  Congratulations on celebrating 10 years of marriage!  Enjoy your preview - there's lots more to come soon!

John-Paul & Marissa - Sand Harbor Wedding (Lake Tahoe)

To date, John-Paul and Marissa's wedding is the most intimate wedding I have photographed in 10+ years of my career.  Including the minister and myself, there were eight of us present for their special day!

Another record they earned is they have to be one of the most in-love couples I have even met.  I think their love, combined with the intimate style of their wedding, enabled me to capture a very unique feel in their images.

John-Paul & Marissa - it was such a joy to celebrate with you!  I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon in Europe and I look forward to catching up with you soon.

Such a beautiful location for a ceremony

Kris & Shar - Sundara Wedding (Virginia)

Wow, time flies when you're busy and having fun!  I've been keeping a list of everything I want to blog about and as of this morning there are about 15 posts that I need to catch up on.  Now if I can just find the time!

Okay, enough about that.  On May 31st I had the honor of photographing Kris & Shar's celebration in Virginia, at wonderful Sundara. As always, Patty is a fantastic host...it's always a pleasure to photograph there.

The weather was calling for thunderstorms most of the day, but we were blessed with great weather.  On to the images!

Bill & Michelle - Lake Tahoe Wedding

Bill & Michelle's wedding images are somewhat miraculous.  On May 24th, the weather was absolutely miserable at Lake Tahoe.  There was rain, snow, and even hail in some parts of the area.

On the way up to their wedding I prayed and asked God for a one hour break in the weather.  That's all I needed - one hour!  After their ceremony, it was still snowing outside, but Bill and Michelle decided they were going to have fun no matter what!

So we all got in the limo bus and headed out to Sand Harbor, all the while it was still raining and snowing.  We pulled into the parking lot, and as we are getting out, the weather lets up!  No kidding - we were able to photograph the family members, the bridal party, and Bill and Michelle.  The sun even came out for a very short while!

After we were done, we stepped back on the bus and turned on to Highway 50.  Less than a minute later it started up with heavy rain again...I got the hour I prayed for!

Thanks again to Bill and Michelle for having such an awesome attitude the whole day.  Enjoy your images!

You can even see a little snow in the air in this image

I Haven't Forgotten You!

Hi Blog Family,

I promise I haven't forgotten about you!  Life has been absolutely nuts lately and I have a ton of stuff to blog about, I just need to make time to do it.

I just got back from a destination wedding and am preparing to leave for another one in 7 days!  The airlines and I are getting pretty well acquainted lately.

Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that I am here and will be sharing some more stories soon!

Best Wishes,
Michael
