A fun project is to photograph any particular area at different times of day.  You can end up with several different moods for your image and it helps you play with light.

My choice for this one was some reeds by a lake and I chose to vary my composition a little bit.  Not a very exciting subject, but still!

Just for kicks...a Wyoming sunset.  I love how horizons in the west seem to stretch forever.
